If you’ve ever wondered what chocolates go with what wine, you can have all your questions answered at one of the South Burnett’s largest wineries during the October long weekend.
From Saturday, September 30 through to Monday, October 2, Kingsley Grove Estate near Kingaroy will be running Wine & Chocolate sessions every day.
For a modest $15 per session, you’ll be able to taste a range of wines and chocolates and take your senses on an exciting journey you may have never considered before.
Winemaker Simon Berry will guide guests through it inside Kingsley Grove’s modern winery, explaining the key features you should look for when you want to match chocolate with wine, as well as providing tips on pairings that are already proven winners.
Afterwards, guests can relax at Kingsley Grove’s cellar door, taste the winery’s wide range of wines and/or their exclusive wine ice creams, and even enjoy a fresh pizza cooked in the Estate’s wood-fired pizza oven.
Kingsley Grove’s pizzas are well-known for their sensational taste – and the Estate’s sangiovese (an Italian wine variety now grown in the South Burnett) is famous as the perfect accompaniment to pizza!
The winery itself will be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and pizzas can be purchased at any time.
While bookings for a visit to Kingsley Grove (or a pizza) aren’t essential, if you’d like to take a Wine & Chocolate class and have a group of four or more, a booking is highly advisable.
You can make one by phoning 0414-230-128 or by emailing them.
